Ronaldo has a soft spot for Old Trafford. Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he would like to return to Manchester United - one day.
The Real Madrid superstar left Old Trafford in 2009 for a then record £80 million, and has gone on to establish himself as one of the world's best players and shatter goal scoring records at the Bernabeu.

He's scored over 250 goals in five seasons in Spain, helping Madrid to win their 10th European title in May with a record Champions League goal haul, and he also won the Ballon d'Or to end Lionel Messi's four year winning streak.

Despite his success in Spain, Ronaldo has always retained a place for Manchester United in his heart, and has previously suggested that a return to Old Trafford could be on the cards in the future.
Manchester United love
Now, ahead of Real Madrid's pre-season friendly game against Manchester United in Michigan this evening, the 29-year-old has once more spoken of his affections for the Red Devils.
"Well, of course, it was one of my favourite clubs, Manchester, everyone knows that every time when I speak about Real Madrid I should speak about Manchester United," he said.
"I loved it there, I was 18 years old, I won everything there, the people treat me like a god there, so I appreciate it and the future nobody knows."

It was suggested last year that Manchester United were weighing up an audacious swoop to take Ronaldo back to Manchester, but the move never materialised. Despite winning a host of trophies with Real Madrid, his time in Spain hasn't always been plain sailing. In 2012 he admitted he was 'sad' at the Bernabeu amidst speculation that he felt he wasn't being treated with enough respect.
However he penned a bumper new contract at the tail end of last year that should see him remain at Real Madrid for the foreseeable future.
