Alexis Sanchez reveals he will be fine to play in Arsenal’s clash with Manchester United after Chile duty

Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez has allayed fears he will struggle to be fit for the Premier League clash with Manchester United this Saturday.

Sanchez played and scored twice for Chile in their World Cup qualifier with Uruguay on Tuesday despite the fact the Arsenal man seemed to be carrying an injury.

Photos of Sanchez’s leg bandaged up prior to the game sparked an angry response from Arsenal fans begging Chile not to play their star man and risk aggravating the injury further.

However, Sanchez has now moved to calm the storm around his fitness and assured fans he would be playing this weekend.

‘I will train Friday and travel the same Friday to Manchester to play Saturday at noon,’ Sanchez told Latercera.

‘There is no problem with me playing.’

Sanchez came off with five minutes left to play against Uruguay after inspiring them to a 3-1 victory and the Chile medical team were quick to put ice on his thigh.

Arsenal take on United at Old Trafford hoping to fire themselves back to the top of the league after a disappointing draw with Tottenham in their last league outing.
