Golfing World News - July 15

Mickelson returns Claret Jug and Poulter's Open injury Scare.

We're just two days away from the start of the Open Championship and this famous old course is really beginning to gear up for the oldest major of them all.

The claret jug has arrived after Phil Mickelson returned it yesterday. He arrived in style ready to pass it on to the next victor, or maybe take it back himself!

The tee times are out and we have a stellar line up. Tiger will go off with Henrik Stenson and Angel Cabrera at 4 minutes last 9 in a fascinating contest and Defending champion Phil Mickelson will go off with Masters champion Bubba Watson and four time Major winner Ernie else in what is the highlight of the afternoon three balls.

There is some worrying news for Ian poulter after he had to travel to Leeds for an MRI scan on a wrist injury sustained at the Scottish Open in Royal Aberdeen. poulter described the scan as precautionary and has his fingers crossed for Thursday.

That's all for today, we'll be back right here tomorrow with all the latest from the Championships. In the meantime we will be putting behind the scenes pictures and videos on our Instagram and you can find us on Facebook and Twitter @golfing world TV.
