Arturo Vidal will send his lawyer to hold talks with Juventus in order to force a move to Manchester United this summer, according to Italian newspaper La Stampa.
The Chilean has emerged as new Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal's main transfer target, however the Dutchman has been unable to get the deal done as quickly as he would have liked. Indeed it is fast turning into the most protracted sage of the transfer window, and it shows no sign of ending soon.
No deal
While Juventus have publicly insisted that Vidal will be in Turin next season, reports continue to suggest that he is close to joining Manchester United and that the player is the driving force behind the move.

Now according to La Stampa, he has sent his lawyer to hold talks with Juventus about how to make the move to Old Trafford happen. The Red Devils are believed to have proposed a salary of €7 million for the 27-year-old, but according to the paper must produce a bid in excess of €40 million before Juventus will consider selling up.
Forced
Although Juventus do not want to sell, La Stampa say that they are already making back-up plans and identifying replacements if the Chilean does depart, and are looking at Paris Saint-Germain pair Javier Pastore and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Manchester United were expected to undergo a huge squad overhaul this summer following the arrival of Van Gaal, but as yet that hasn't quite materialised. Both Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera have signed on the dotted line and the likes of Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic have all left, but the Old Trafford faithful will be expecting much more activity before the close of the window.
Overhaul
Things do look like hotting up at Old Trafford however, and a batch of reports this morning suggest that Van Gaal will start making cuts to his Manchester United squad after examining them at close quarters during their pre-season tour to America.
Manchester United fans will hope that means that more new arrivals are on their way soon - although Van Gaal hinted that he was happy with his squad before their pre-season win against Real Madrid in Michigan.
