Cian Healy pulls truck for Irish advert

The last thing you'd expect to see a rugby player doing is pulling a truck across a beach whilst listening to music, but not Cian Healy. The prop has recently been seen in an advert pulling a large vehicle on Dollymount strand in his home town of Clontarf, Ireland.

The 26-year-old is a hard-tackling prop who has delivered great performances for Ireland, especially in the recent Six Nations, and in this commercial goes out of his way to show his preparation for the new season ahead, and for USN Ireland's company.

Is it fake?

The question hovering around this advert is if it is fake. You only see Healy pull the truck for a short period of time and it seems he is not even struggling with the load, considering he is listening to music whilst pulling this incredible weight.

But again, he is an international player and is known for putting great players on their backside due to his brute force and style of play; as his tackle on Sonny Bill Williams, when he threw the heavyweight boxer on the floor like a bag of sand, showcased this.

Also, to be fair you wouldn't want to question the Leinster player based on his credentials and the amount of appearances he has made for both club and country.

It is in a similar light to what Bryan Habana does for a number of corporations, as we've seen the South African race against a Cheetah, plane and car; all these seemed to be legitimate so why can't this.

Ireland

One thing fans may take joy from is the preparation as this hard work can only spell success, as Healy quotes in the advert; "There are no shortcuts in life," and "from hard work comes success."

As USN Ireland end with the tagline 'It's all about results' to promote their brand and Irish rugby.

Next year will be a colossal time for the Irish nation; not only will they be looking to retain their Six Nations' title but the 2015 World Cup commences next year, and being held in England it won't be so far from home.

Their pool consists of France and Italy, who are familiar rivals, including dark horses Canada and Romania as Ireland will be looking to win three of the four games put out in front of them next summer.

From then on it is about Josef Schmidt's team showing commitment and going as far they can, as they've never made it past the quarter-finals stage of a World Cup.

But in the back of the players' minds there would be nothing sweeter than winning their first World Cup on foreign soil in their neighbours' back garden, as with players like Cian Healy bring truckload of experience.
