Conor McGregor has shot dead rumours that he is set to retire from the UFC after he becomes a two-weight champion with a win over Eddie Alvarez on November 12.
The Irish press has been circulating whispers that McGregor wants to leave the UFC once he cements his place as an unrivaled legend of the octagon in New York at UFC 205.
However, the featherweight champion has reacted with annoyance to the retirement suggestion as McGregor revealed it was all nonsense.
‘You’re absolutely crazy (for) even mentioning a click bait crowd like that,’ said McGregor.
‘I mean, the Irish Mirror, what the f*** is that? Who even is that?
‘They don’t know shit about me or what I’m doing.’
McGregor will bid to become the first ever UFC champion to simultaneously hold two weight division titles when he steps out to face lightweight king Alvarez.
Alvarez has promised to stop McGregor in his tracks with retirement rumours stemming from the Irishman’s insistence a massive announcement is on the horizon.
Dana White revealed it was a ‘left field decision’, but as of yet fight fans __have not been let in on the secret.
