Arturo Vidal's agent to discuss Manchester United offer

Vidal was limited at the World Cup with a knee complaint.

Arturo Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich will arrive in Italy today and hold talks with Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta to discuss a move to Manchester United.

According to Italian reports in Tuttosport, Felicevich's goal is to determine Juventus's willingness to negotiate with Manchester United over a transfer. The agent wants to know the full extent of the contact between Juve and United regarding his client.

Talks in Turin

The report claims he believes he can facilitate negotiations between the two clubs by ensuring that Juve receive no less than £45m for the midfielder. Vidal is keen on a move to United, and will also meet with his agent this weekend to get an update.

But the talks between Felicevich and Marotta will be crucial, as both sides put everything on the table. Felicevich wants full disclosure on any and all offers for Vidal this summer, including any offers from clubs other than United.

Other options?

The Chilean international has also been heavily linked with Liverpool and Real Madrid. Brendan Rodgers wants a 'marquee signing' following the £75m departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.

He's closing in on the capture of Dejan Lovren from Southampton, but he wants a big name to bolster the squad and get the fans excited ahead of the new season.

No pressure

United meanwhile remain in the hunt for Vidal, although there's no pressure on their part to rush through a deal. Louis Van Gaal has already secured Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw - two important additions - and he has more than a month of the transfer window remaining.
