Pogba and Vidal are both wanted in the Premier League.. Manchester United have been given the green light to sign either Arturo Vidal or Paul Pogba this summer, as it emerged that Juventus are going to have to offload one of the world-class pair for financial reasons.
According to the Daily Mirror the Italian giants are to set to be forced to balance their books before the start of next season, meaning one of their two top assets will have to be flogged. This is sure to be welcoming news to United boss Louis van Gaal, who has both men firmly on his radar as he looks to drastically improve the quality of his squad.
With Vidal said to be valued at around £40million and Pogba worth £60million, it’s no wonder why the duo are the ones being put up for sale and, with Van Gaal still having money at his disposal following the purchases of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw, a deal could well be on.
Vidal
The Chilean international is likely to be Van Gaal’s favoured option given the fact that the Dutchman has admitted recently that he admires him as a player. At 27 Vidal is just coming into his peak years and, as his performances at the World Cup in Brazil clearly proved, he’s at the very top of his game at the moment.

At £40million Vidal could become the perfect partner to the aforementioned Herrera, and his all-round ability places him in the same category as the very best players in the world. The Mirror claims that he could available for a cut-price £30million but, given his importance to Antonio Conte’s side it’s likely they will hold out for a maximum fee.
Pogba
The lost starlet who left United and never looked back, Pogba would likely be the fans' choice out of the two. Having established himself as one of the most exciting midfielders on the planet there would be plenty of envious eyes cast towards Old Trafford if Van Gaal could lure the young Frenchman to Manchester, though in truth it seems unlikely given the Red Devils' lack of Champions League football.
His £60million valuation emphasises just how highly his Turin outfit rate him, and given the option Conte would quite possible prefer to part ways with Vidal. At 21 Pogba has plenty of time to develop further, and it’s not too difficult to envisage him becoming one of the world’s best players in the near future.
Van Gaal’s choice
Regardless of which man he opts to push for Van Gaal will be praised by the United faithful if either player ends up playing for the club next season. The fact that Vidal has seen himself heavily tipped to move anyway makes him the slight favourite for any potential transfer, though it seems like a never say never occasion.
