Northampton Saints prop Alex Corbisiero wowed audiences in and outside the Rugby Tonight TV studios last night, by ending the show with one of his trademark raps.

The England star grabbed the microphone to end the BT Sports show, which covers the Aviva Premiership and is now the TV home of former Leicester utility back and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Austin Healey and Wasps legend Lawrence Dallaglio.

Skills on show

Corbisiero, who proved that his vocal skills matched the rapping pedigree normally associated with his birthplace New York, was on the show to talk about Northampton's start in the defence of their title.

The Saints trounced Gloucester 53-6 in the Aviva Premiership opener on Friday night, with winger George North claiming a hat-trick, and have Dallaglio's former side Wasps this Saturday.

Corbisiero, who despite being born in the United States and with Italian heritage from his grandfather represents the country he has called home since the age of five, performed his party trick after starting the opener, after two wretched seasons both completely ripped apart by serious injuries in both knees.

Good spirits

But he seemed in good spirits on Rugby Tonight, and you can watch the video of his exploits, which first rose to fame when he rapped after getting his first England cap against Italy in 2011, here.

Better stick to the day job, Alex...

Rugby Tonight airs on Monday nights at 8:00pm, live on BT Sport.
