Radamel Falcao will be unveiled on Thursday (©Twitter). Manchester United have confirmed that Radamel Falcao and Daley Blind will be unveiled to the world’s media on Thursday afternoon in a statement issued via their official Twitter account.
A press conference will be held, with United boss Louis van Gaal in attendance, for the media to ask questions of all three men.
Blind and Falcao set for United debuts
Netherlands international Blind completed a £14 million permanent move from Ajax to Old Trafford on 30 August. The 2014 Dutch Footballer of the Year is expected to make his Manchester United debut against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday afternoon, alongside Falcao, who will also be presented on Thursday.
The Colombia international, who has signed a season-long loan from AS Monaco, is widely considered one of the best number nines in world football.
Falcao will be competing with fellow strikers Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney for a starting spot this season - although, with the South American reportedly earning an astronomical £350,000-a-week, it’s safe to assume that Manchester United have not signed the 28-year-old to let him sit on the substitutes’ bench.
United signed Falcao in the early hours of Tuesday September 2 after obtaining a two-hour extension from the Premier League to complete the deal.

Van Gaal faces Welbeck questions
In order to free up a space in the squad, United agreed to offload Danny Welbeck to Arsenal, who shelled out £16 million for the England international.
Van Gaal is likely to face questions over whether it was the right decision to allow Welbeck to leave Old Trafford - particularly after the striker’s brace against Switzerland for England on Monday night.
Welbeck came through Manchester United’s youth ranks and was a popular figure in the eyes of the Red Devils’ faithful, but was keen to leave Old Trafford this summer after being informed by Van Gaal that he would spend most of the season on the bench.
Van Gaal is under pressure to secure all three points against newly-promoted QPR this weekend after an unexpectedly poor start to the season.
United need to improve results
The veteran Dutch coach, who has been keen to remind people that he has managed both Barcelona and Bayern Munich since arriving in England, has picked up a disappointing two points from his first three Premier League matches in charge of the Red Devils against Swansea City, Sunderland and Burnley.
United also suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to League One side MK Dons in the Capital One Cup second round last month.
The club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward revealed today that the expectation is United finish the season third in the Premier League table.
In order for that to happen, the likes of Falcao and Blind - along with Angel di Maria and Marcos Rojo - will need to settle in quickly at Old Trafford.
