Mario Gotze has put Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal on alert (©GettyImages). Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal could all go head-to-head in a battle to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze after the World Cup winner revealed that he would be tempted by a move to the Premier League.
This is according to the Express, who understand that the Premier League trio would be interested in bringing the 22-year-old to England.
Gotze was quoted by Bild on Wednesday as telling reporters that while he is "very, very happy to be playing at Bayern" he would, one day, consider the possibility of moving to a foreign league.

The midfielder continued: "A foreign country would also be tempting for someone of my personality, but I have not given it serious thought yet."
Gotze also defended himself against accusations that he has an arrogant streak, telling reporters: "Those who maintain that don't know me. It's not the truth.
"I am a fairly down-to-earth guy who only wants to focus on football and have fun. That's important. But, sadly, the perception from the outside sometimes is different."
Gotze's meteoric rise
Gotze has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past few seasons, starting with his first club Borussia Dortmund, where he won back-to-back Bundesliga titles and helped the German club reach the 2012-13 Champions League final.
But he stunned German football weeks earlier after agreeing to sign for Dortmund's fierce rivals, Bayern Munich, who offered the gifted midfielder a £115,000-a-week contract.
Gotze enjoyed a decent debut campaign with the Barvarian giants, scoring 15 goals in 44 appearances, but the most important moment of his career came at this summer's World Cup finals in Brazil.
Not only did Gotze pick up a winners' medal, but he also scored the winning goal in the final against Argentina to cement his status as a legend of German football.
Gotze would have no shortage of takers
Widely considered one of the best players in the world in his position, Gotze would have no shortage of takers - not just from the Premier League - when he decides to leave the Allianz Arena in the future.
And while Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all well-stocked in the attacking midfield position, it's safe to assume that there would be no hesitation from either of the three clubs to try and secure his signature should he choose to leave Bayern earlier than expected.
Arsenal have been linked with Gotze in the past and already have a strong German contingent at the Emirates Stadium, but they could find themselves down the queue for the player's signature if Manchester United or Chelsea do make a formal offer.
