Owen Farrell has been named in the starting XV for Saracens' Aviva Premiership clash with London Irish on Saturday afternoon.

England fly-half Farrell has been used sparingly by Mark McCall during the early stages of the 2014/15 season, with Charlie Hodgson given the nod for the thrilling victory over Wasps at Twickenham and last week's demolition of Harlequins.

Saracens changes

However, the 22-year-old has been recalled for the trip to the Madejski Stadium as Saracens look to utilise the impressive depth in their squad.

Elsewhere for the visitors, prop Richard Barrington drops to the bench in favour of Rhys Gill while Tim Streather partners Brad Barritt at centre, Chris Wyles replaces David Strettle and Chris Ashton makes his 50th appearance on the wing.

With Alistair Hargreaves missing out, Barritt is named as captain while Ernst Joubert and Jacques Burger come into the back-row.

Scottish lock Jim Hamilton is also handed his first starting berth for the club alongside Hayden Smith after joining from Montpellier this summer.

As for London Irish, there are just two changes from the side that scrapped to a narrow 20-18 win over Newcastle at Kingston Park last Sunday.

Canadian Jebb Sinclair comes into the second row in place of Dan Leo, while Luke Narraway replaces Tom Guest at number eight.
