Javier Hernandez has already done enough to persuade Real Madrid chiefs that he's worth signing permanently in a €23m deal, after the Mexican striker scored a brace in last night's 8-2 rout against Deportivo La Coruna.
The Manchester United forward is on loan at Madrid after leaving Old Trafford in search of regular first-team opportunities elsewhere.
Hernandez is very much fulfilling the role of an impact substitute at the Bernabeu and El Confidencial believe Madrid are impressed, viewing their new forward as much more of a conventional number nine than Karim Benzema.

Hernandez only featured for 13 minutes against Deportivo last night but managed to scored twice, including an opener that was smashed home from distance.
The 26-year-old is used to the role of impact substitute and it looks like he's already fulfilling that role for Carlo Ancelotti, after starring late in an emphatic 8-2 win that saw Madrid banish memories of their poor start to La Liga in style.
Ancelotti brought in Hernandez on loan to make sure Benzema had genuine competition for his starting spot, a role the Mexican hitman has already shown he's capable of fulfilling.
Permanent deal will cost €23m
Madrid reportedly believe Hernandez is the kind of genuine goal poacher they've needed since Gonzalo Higuain signed for Napoli last summer, someone who can compliment the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and co, perfectly.
United allowed Hernandez to go on a season-long loan with an agreement that if Madrid wanted a permanent move it would cost €23m, a price that after just three appearances Los Blancos are willing to pay.
The Spanish giants want strength in depth to make sure the fight for trophies on two fronts is a success, so expect Hernandez to complete a permanent Real Madrid transfer is he continues a fine start to life at the Bernabeu.
