GW News: Mikko Ilonen wins at the Volvo Match Play Championship (©GettyImages). Hi, I'm Cara Robinson and this is today's Golfing World News where we bring you action and reaction from around the world of golf.
First to TPC Summerlin where Ben Martin won the Shriners Hospital for Children Open by two strokes. Martin had squandered an overnight lead but played the last four holes in four under par to earn his maiden PGA Tour title.
Mikko Ilonen, meanwhile, claimed the biggest win of his career at the Volvo World Match Play Championship. The Finn beat Joost Luiten 2 and 1 in Sunday morning's semi-final, and then led Henrik Stenson from the fourth hole onwards, as he went on to win the final 3 and 1.
The European Tour were also in action at the Hong Kong Open, which came down to a play-off between Scott Hend and Angelo Que. It took Hend just one extra hole to secure the title, as he became the first Australian since Greg Norman to win the event.
It also took a play-off to decide the winner of the LPGA KEB HanaBank Championship. 19 year old Kyu-Jung Baek won her first LPGA title in her native Korea. A birdie at the first extra hole was enough to see off compatriot In Gee Chun and America's Brittany Lincicome.
And finally, Ian Poulter has become the latest player to come to the defence of his Ryder Cup team mate Sergio Garcia. In his soon-to-be released book "No Limits" the Englishman has called Sir Nick Faldo highly disrespectful after calling the Spaniard 'useless' when he captained him at Valhalla in 2008.
