Radamel Falcao labelled the most complete player ever

Canada boss Benito Floro has lavished praise on Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao, labelling him as "the most complete player" he has ever seen.

The international coach has been busy drilling his defence into coping with the Colombia international, who will lead the line when the two teams face each other in a friendly on Wednesday.

History

Floro is no stranger to quality footballers. The experienced manager was in charge of Real Madrid during the early 90s, guiding Los Blancos to a Copa del Rey win.

Despite managing a host of world-class stars, the 62-year-old believes Falcao is on a different level to any of them. He even hints that the Manchester United star is ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Complete footballer

He told reporters: "Falcao is the most complete footballer I have ever seen in my life.

"In the tactical sense, when you see it as a coach, you say you should do this and he is doing it, both in defence and attack. That is most important.

"He is a wonderful striker, an example to show how to do things in attack."

injury return

Falcao has been trying to prove himself at Manchester United after suffering a serious knee injury at AS Monaco last season. The injury ruled him out of the World Cup, but didn't stop Louis van Gaal from agreeing a loan move worth in excess of £20 million.

Having scored for Manchester United against Everton and then announced his return to the Colombian set up with an excellent headed goal, the signs are that his knee injury will not affect his quality.

Ferguson agrees

It seems that Van Gaal's decision to loan Falcao remains a sensible one. Manchester United reportedly have the option to make the deal permanent should he succeed at Old Trafford, making it a seemingly foolproof plan.

Manchester United may have to pay as much as £43 million to secure the permanent move, but have the option to send him back to Monaco at the end of the loan. Even former manager Sir Alex Ferguson praised the deal.

He is quoted in The Mail as saying: "The big one is Falcao who we're all waiting to see. Obviously, he has fantastic goal-scoring ability. He had his injury so getting him on loan is the right thing to do."
