Aditi had just one birdie on par-5 fourth hole and she parred the other 17 holes for a 71, while Vani, who was three-under at one-stage bogeyed her final hole, the ninth to finish at 70.

China’s Yuting Shi stretched her lead to three strokes on day two with a four-under 68 as hot and breezy conditions blew several more experienced players out of contention.

The 18-year-old from Beijng, Shi was at 11-under-par aggregate after two bogey-free rounds. Behind her in second place is Anne Van Dam from the Netherlands (70-66).

“The conditions were not easy today as the wind was much stronger than in first round, so I am okay with my round as I did not drop any shots, though I had just one birdie,” said Aditi.

Leader Shi picked up four birdies on the front nine, including three on the par-5s, at the fourth, eighth and ninth holes. She also made an impressive save by holing a 15-footer for par on the 14th after finding the fairway bunker and taking two blows to reach the green.
