However, heavyweight Haye has insisted he would prefer the opportunity to claim a world title and has set his sights on Joshua before he decides on whether Bellew is the next option.
‘Ideally, I’d like Joshua. He is the guy who, in my opinion, is the most dominant heavyweight out there currently,’ Haye told Sky Sports.
‘He is the guy who hasn’t put a foot wrong and he is the guy that’s making the most noise.
‘Obviously being from Britain myself it’s the biggest fight.

Joshua could become available in the coming days with an agreement to fight Wladimir Klitschko on the verge of collapse due to the availability of the WBA heavyweight belt.
Klitschko has told Joshua he is happy to fight in December but if the WBA boxing board reject their application to put the belt on the line as well as the IBF title, then he will pull out.
