James DeGale will get chance to become king of super-middleweight division against Badou Jack on January 14

James DeGale’s eagerly awaited title unification fight with Badou Jack has finally been confirmed with the Brit set to go head-to-head with the WBC champion on January 14.

The 30-year-old will put his IBF super-middleweight title on the line in Las Vegas in the new year.

DeGale has been beaten just once in his professional career and announced the news on his Twitter on Tuesday.

DeGale will undergo his fourth fight in a row on American soil and the IBF champion has promised his UK fans that if he wins in Janaury, the defence will be in London.

Jack was also on call to confirm the announcement.

The two fighters __have been in talks over a potential unification bout, but the wait is now just three months away to find out who is the best in the super-middleweight division.

DeGale became a world champion in May by beating Andre Dirrell and is expected to face Jack in Vegas.

Showtime Boxing released the news via a promo video for their upcoming televised fights and also confirmed that Carl Frampton would fight Leo Santa Cruz on January 28.

Business is about to pick up.

Northern Irishman Frampton made history this summer when he became a two-weight champion and will face off against the man he dethroned, Santa Cruz, in their hugely anticipated rematch.
