Jose Mourinho targets Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko to solve his midfield issues at Manchester United

Jose Mourinho is targeting a move for Monaco’s defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to reports in France.

Le 10 Sport claim that the Manchester United boss is a keen admirer of the 22-year-old and has been monitoring his progress for over a year.

Bakayoko, a physically strong defensive midfielder with a good eye for a pass, is valued at £22.5 million.

The midfielder has made five appearances in Ligue 1 this season, while he also impressed in Monaco’s Champions League games against Tottenham and Bayer Leverkusen.
