Belgium boss Roberto Martinez has played down Eden Hazard’s injury scare after the Chelsea forward limped out of Sunday’s 8-1 victory over Estonia.

In the 72nd minute, Estonia’s Gert Kams stood on the 25-year-old’s right ankle and the Chelsea star immediately informed Martinez that he was unable to continue.

Hazard was replaced by Everton winger Kevin Mirallas shortly afterwards but limped off the pitch.

But after the match, Martinez confirmed that Hazard hadn’t suffered any long-term damage.

‘He received a blow to the ankle, but he is not hurt,’ said the former Everton manager.
