
Olivier Giroud was left embarrassed on Friday night when his French team-mates appeared to ignore him and refuse to pass him the ball during France’s World Cup qualifier with Sweden.
The Arsenal striker was spotted pleading for the ball late in the first half of the match in Paris having taken up a good position at the back post.

With numerous opportunities to cross it to Giroud, Pogba eventually crossed it to Antoine Griezmann instead – who was offside.

Perhaps it was their ties to Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Manchester United and Tottenham that stopped them. Maybe they simply didn’t see him. Or perhaps like most Arsenal fans, they just don’t rate him.
