Chelsea striker Diego Costa has had a fantastic season so far, and deservedly picked up the Premier League Player of the Month award today.

The Blues front-man helped make it a clean sweep for his club, with Antonio Conte scooping the Manager of the Month prize, and team-mate Pedro awarded Goal of the Month.

Costa has 11 goals so far this season, putting him joint-top of the Premier League scoring charts at the moment, but his stats from November show that’s not what might __have edged it for him.

The Spain international netted just twice that month, but still contributed a huge amount with his all-round quality as he provided two assists for his colleagues, and created ten chances, according to data courtesy of EA SPORTS.

No other Premier League forward created as many scoring opportunities that month, showing just how much Costa has improved his game under Conte this season.

Once just seen as a tall, physical target man for Chelsea, Costa now looks like becoming the complete attacker for his club, and they’re clearly reaping the benefits after an eighth win in a row at the weekend, taking them three points clear at the top of the table.
