Zlatan Ibrahimovic could face retrospective punishment after striking Seamus Coleman in the face with the heel of his boot during Manchester United’s game with Everton.
The incident early in the second half at Goodison Park appeared to go unnoticed by the officials.
The Manchester United striker and Everton defender had been scrapping for the ball before Ibrahimovic brought him down.
As they fell to the ground Ibrahimovic appeared to bring his boot down on Coleman’s face.
It was tough to determine whether it was deliberate from Ibrahimovic, however Manchester United legend Gary Neville felt it was.
‘It’s naughty, very naughty,’ he said on Sky Sports. ‘He’s fortunate to get away with that.’

If the referee fails to report the incident in his match report because it went unnoticed, the FA could take retrospective action over the incident.
It was the second flashpoint in the match at Goodison Park where earlier Marcus Rojo was fortunate to remain on the pitch after a two footed challenge on Idrissa Gueye.
‘Jose Mourinho’s been talking a lot about referees over the past couple of weeks but I think today there’s a couple that __have gone for him,’ Neville said during the match.
