Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne face off at Lord's

They talk about the IPL, they talk about the BBL, but I can quite easily assure that none of the two tournaments are, by any means, as exciting as this one particular match, MCC vs RoW at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

As the most historic cricketing venue celebrates it's 200 years of unmatched tradition, the cricketing world would celebrate this exhilarating match that would include the giants of modern day-cricket.

Warne-Tendulkar rivalry comes alive once again

With Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar being the skippers of RoW and MCC respectively, the once very famous and now a mere memory would once again come alive at The Mecca.

The time when these two stars used to play, it was for sure that either one was going to get the other. Maybe they don’t have that flare now but a rivalry folks is a rivalry.

Tait-Lee duo back again

The fastest bowlers of the modern era, Shaun Tait and Brett Lee, will reform their deadly duo. Both will be playing for the MCC and more importantly and will offer an awesome display of fast bowling. We can easily expect thunderbolts to be bowled at Lord’s.

Warne-Muralitharan pair up for the first time

Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan, the best spinners to be born on the planet, will pair up for the first time at RoW XI to display a delicious treat of spin bowling. A dream come true as I might say, no one would have thought that these two would be a part of one team.

Prince Lara Returns

For when he retired, the desire of watching him live couldn't be fulfilled was the bitter truth that intl. Cricket had to live with. After such a long time now on this special occasion, and for the last time I might say, Brian Lara will once more return to a cricketing field with the willow.

Phew! So much to look out for in this clash isn't it? A once in a century match, this surely has got to be on your “things to watch” list for July 5 or you’ll regret.

How many times do you basically see Sachin, Dravid, Warne, Lara, Gilchrist, Lee, Muralitharan, Sehwag, Afridi, Yuvraj, Pietersen, Collingwood, Lara like stars in one match? Have got to say, it can’t get better than this as this is the ultimate....

Teams: MCC- Tendulkar, Ajmal, Dravid, Chanderpaul, Finch, Gul, Lara, Lee, Tait, Read, Vettori.

RoW- Warne, Afridi, Best, Collingwood, Gilchrist, Tamim, Murali, Pietersen, Sehwag, Siddle, Yuvraj.
