GW News: Court Dispute threaten McIlroy’s Perfect Year (©GettyImages).

It's been a stellar year for Rory McIlroy, but his off course woes will be heading into 2015 with him. The court directed mediation between McIlroy and his former management company Horizon have come to a close without an agreement being reached.

As a result the four time major winner has announced he will be missing the upcoming BMW Masters and WGC HSBC Champions events to prepare for the court case. With the trial expected to start in late January, McIlroy will be hoping for a swift resolution to avoid interfering with his Masters preparation as he attempts to become the youngest player to complete the career grand slam.

It's been a busy week for McIlroy who was pictured enjoying a meal out in Dublin with actress Meghan Markle. Rumours of a romance surfaced when Rory nominated Meghan for the ice bucket challenge back in August. She accepted but on the condition that the world number one would be the one to pour the ice over her. After that we certainly hope McIlroy picked up the bill.

Back to golf and it seems that Tiger Woods is closing in on a return to action following his latest injury absence. Tiger's long term agent Mark Steinberg told USA Today that doctors have given him the ok to start hitting golf balls again. Woods is hoping to return in time for his own event, the Hero World Challenge at the Isleworth Golf and Country Club in early December. That plenty of news for one day, we'll be back tomorrow but in the meantime you can check out our website golfingworld.tv or get in touch on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Bye for now.
