Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp appeared to joke about his side’s ‘West Brom wave’ from last season after tonight’s game.
As ever, the German tactician was on hand to ensure his players all acknowledged the Anfield crowd for their part in the victory, which came via first half goals from Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho.

There was certainly more reason to celebrate than in this fixture last season, when Liverpool were roundly criticised for an over-the-top celebration at the end of a 2-2 draw with the Baggies.
The Reds needed a stoppage time equaliser to escape with a point that day, and Klopp rallied his troops to salute the crowd at the end, clearly feeling the adrenaline from snatching a draw when the team were so close to a defeat.
Klopp clearly remembered the incident this evening, and while it’s hard to hear everything he’s saying, he clearly jokes about repeating the ‘West Brom wave’ again.
