Martin Gethin and John Wayne Hibbert put on a bloodbath of a headline fight at the Wembley Arena in London as the late replacement claimed the IBF international super-lightweight title.

Hibbert was on the hunt to put his previous loss to Andrea Scarpa behind him, but was left bloodied and unconscious after a brutal encounter with Gethin.
The two Brits went toe-to-toe for the opening rounds and blood was soon pouring from both fighters’ faces.
The white top of Hibbert’s shorts would be almost completely red by the end of the fight, but the decisive blow came in the fourth round as Gethin caught him flush in the face.

The blow thundered into Hibbert’s skull and as he continued to fight on dazed, Gethin finished the fight with another big right.
Hibbert was caught early with left hook in the opening minutes and when his nose was burst open by Gethin in the second, the fight was on its way to a fast closure.
Gethin left his opponent on the canvas and Hibbert needed some oxygen in the ring, before eventually getting back up and congratulating his victor.
