Diego Costa may __have been substituted by the time Manchester City and Chelsea were embroiled in a 20-man brawl at the Etihad yesterday – but the Spanish striker couldn’t help but get involved.
The 28-year-old got the Blues back on level terms against Pep Guardiola’s side with a superbly taken goal from Cesc Fabregas’ pass on the hour mark.
The former Atletico Madrid striker was substitute with five minutes to go after Willian had put Antonio Conte’s men in the lead.
Eden Hazard’s goal in injury time was a devastating blow for City, who had dominated the first half and could __have put the game to bed with a number of missed chances and a mass brawl erupted following Sergio Aguero’s horror challenge on David Luiz.

The brawl ended with both Aguero and team-mate Fernandinho being sent off but footage following the event shows Costa rushing in to the aid of his team-mates as the fight broke out.
Eden Hazard praised Costa after the City win and said the striker’s new-found calmness on the pitch was the secret behind his form in front of goal.
However, if this footage is anything to go by, the fire is still clearly burning inside Costa.
