Anfield legend Jamie Carragher absolutely destroyed Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius after seeing his former side throw away a 3-1 lead at Bournemouth.
The Reds appeared set to move up to second in the Premier League but three late goals from the home side at the Vitality Stadium saw Bournemouth prevail 4-3.
Marouane Fellaini takes just three minutes to absolutely ruin Manchester United’s dayIt was a dramatic turnaround and a shocking capitulation from Liverpool and Carragher knew precisely who he thought was chiefly to blame.
‘This goalkeeper is yet to convince me in any game he’s played that he’s of the required standard.
‘It’s early days but there needs to be a massive improvement.
‘He hasn’t done anything in those game he played that’s impressed me.’
Carragher described Bournemouth’s winner, scored by Nathan Ake after Karius spilt a long-range shot from Steve Cook as a ‘shocking mistake’.
‘When you come under pressure you need your goalkeeper,’ Carragher added on Sky Sports.
