Arsenal and Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi has been named the Youth Player of the Year at the annual Confederation of African Football awards.

Iwobi is not the only Premier League player of note to gain recognition at the CAF awards, with Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho also picking up the prize for Most Promising Talent of the Year.

The prolific attacker, also 20, has notched up an impressive haul of 20 goals in 52 appearances for City since becoming a regular for the team last season, despite plenty of big-name competition at the Etihad Stadium.
Together, the pair show that the future looks very bright for Nigerian football.
