Cohen Bramall has lifted the lid on exactly what Arsene Wenger said to him after his first training session with Arsenal.
Man Utd in talks to sign world superstar as joint-top earner alongside PogbaIt’s understood Bramall is set to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract at the Emirates and Wenger himself has confirmed the youngster will be joining.
The 20-year-old left-back, who joins the Gunners from Hednesford Town, could not believe his eyes when he turned up at the side’s London Colney facility.
‘I drove in there and I was absolutely gobsmacked. It was like a dream, it was so weird,’ Bramall told Sky Sports News HQ.
‘I was training with the first team on the Thursday and the Friday and my eyes just lit up straight away but I had to do my job.
‘I trained to the best of my ability; I tried to use my speed a lot, overlapping from left-back and just wanted to get my body out there.’
The young defender also revealed the words of encouragement he received from his new manager after the session.
He added: ‘He came up to me after the session and it was literally a “hi, nice to meet you’ and he told me he liked how I play,” he said.
‘Just those words, you don’t get them a lot.’
